Balanced Nutrition of Palm Oil
Palm oil contains an equal proportion of unsaturated and saturated fatty acids, which are both important to human health.
This balanced composition allows for palm oil to be stable at high cooking temperatures without the need for trans-fat creating hydrogenation.
Like olive oil, palm oil is particularly high in cholesterol lowering monounsaturated fatty acids and coming from a vegetable source the oil is naturally cholesterol free.
